Going green

London is getting to me. That’s the only thing I can say to defend this green choice of mine. Seeing a lot of people looking fabulous with all kinds of colours in their hair, made me want to have a little experiment as well. So here it is. In all its glory.

I already did a pink ombré before I came here, so I wanted something else this time around. I was actually going for a more mint green look but it seems, after some digging, that this is a colour that is quite difficult to find. So a few days ago I ordered this Crazy Colour dye on Amazon and it fell through the mailbox only 3 days later. After seeing the colour first, I was slightly doubting to do it, because it seemed so bright. But I’m super happy with the result! Yay!

The only question that remains is: how long will this green galore last? I’m guessing some of you are hoping it will be long gone by tomorrow…

DIY

If you’re getting in the mood for some crazy colouring yourself, don’t be afraid to just do it. It’s so super easy – if I, super clumsy, can do it, you’ll be fine!

1. Wash your hair and comb it.
2. Make sure you have all your equipment ready: your dye, a brush, some gloves and a plastic bowl or something similar.

3. Put some of the colour in the plastic bowl – not too much if you’re just doing a dip-dye. You will only need a small amount of the colour.
4. Divide your hair into two parts.
5. Dye the tips of your hair to the height you want the colour to come.
6. Leave it in according to the instructions – Mine was 20 minutes.
7. Wash it out until the water becomes clear.
8. Perfect hair!

P.S.: Sorry for going a little crazy on the Christmas photo editing, I just couldn't resist bringing some of the Christmas joy to you!

Vintage pink

After a long period of doubting and double-doubting, I decided to take the dive and let you have a peek in my wardrobe. Taking these pictures made me feel more random and krazy as ever – especially because they were being taken by my brother. He is like the most radical picture taker ever. Just clicking without even looking. But strangely enough it works – all the blurry pictures taken aside.

I’m wearing a pretty girly pink vintage skirt that I found at Blitz, one of the biggest vintage stores in East London. If you’re into vintage – guilty – then London is like paradise and hell at the same time. This outfit is perfect for a casual day strolling around in the city. Great times!

Wearing:
Zara coat, H&M pull, vintage skirt, Replay boots and Urban Outfitters handbag
And I would like to leave you with a clip of my newly found love for the British Ellie Goulding. She just released her new album Halycon and I LOVE IT!

All things pretty are pink

Think cotton candy, rainbows and unicorns. This for the girly girls who know in their hearts that they will always have a love-relationship with the colour pink.

Although pink was never out of style, it is now back! And stronger then ever. Or it will be at least, next season. After one of my lectures on trends, I was advised to take a look at trend forecaster Li Edelkoort. She is a Dutch woman – how could she be anything else – who is like a guru when it comes to forecasting trends. And it just seems to be that she predicts a very bright future for my beloved pink colour. Yes, I dyed my hair pink and I would do it again anytime.

This new pink is not the girly Barbie pink though. It is a strong pink that stands for provocation and in your face-ness. Who could not looooove that! It is all about revolutionizing and being a rebel in pink.

Here are some things on my pink wish list:

Marc Jacobs

Notebook

This in London please :)

Find a pink sofa

Stella McCartney

La vie en rose
